Gijs van Dijk is a technology professional specializing in people and project management with 25+ years experience spanning infrastructure & networking, managing software engineering projects up to €45 million and facilitating teams to operate to their optimal capacity. For most of this time, he has been helping customers achieve their goals as an external consultant.

Notable companies he has worked for over the years are KPN, Bell South, Gemeentelijk Havenbedrijf Rotterdam, Ahold Delhaize, NXP and ASML. Gijs is currently employed by Thales NL in Hengelo as manager IVVQ for the segment Mission Systems / Combat Management Systems. He has managed teams of up to 40 engineers.
With a focus on software engineering projects he has a deep practical understanding and experience in methodologies and frameworks like PRINCE2, IPMA, SCRUM and ITIL as well as testing, infrastructure and Portfolio Management.
On a more personal level, Gijs likes to spend time with his wife and kids or throw himself into his hobby projects like computing/Linux, riding his motorcycle or making his hands dirty as a grease monkey working on motorcycles.
